- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆I walked into Gubbys Coin after seeing a promising add on Craigslist. Unfortunately, the experience was terrible. I brought in two silver eagles and a half ounce gold eagle to sell so I could get my son an xbox for his birthday and pay for the party. When I walked into the store, I was immediately ignored... After 15 minutes someone finally asked me if I needed help. I said I had been waiting to which he responded "Women arnt usually into coins". Looking past the stupid remark, I presented to him my 3 coins. Silver was at $33 an ounce and Gold at $1710. He offered me 40 for the two eagles and 600 for the half ounce gold coin. I looked at him and said "I know what the spot price is". He then offered me 10 more dollars and said if I wouldn't take it I should go to a jewelry store since I'd probably feel more comfortable there being a woman and all. Really Buddy? This is 2012, not 1900. Stay away!!! I found a better way to sell them... Sell your coins on ebay or through craigslist. Never NEVER go to this guys store!By Mary Robinson, December 19, 2016
